PHP Developer
Type: Full-time
Location: Dundalk, Co. Louth
Salary: Very competitive dependent on skills and experience
We are currently looking to recruit a PHP developer, with experience of the LAMP (Linux, MySQL, Apache and PHP) platform.
Responsibilities
Working predominantly across all sectors, you will:
- Develop Moodle modules using PHP
- Work with customers to gather software requirements
- Quality assurance and documentation of developed code
- Provide technical assistance to the sales team, when and if required
- Provide technical assistance to the training team, when and if required
Essential Requirements
- Educated to degree level in Computer Science or equivalent
- PHP development experience
- Solid Object-Orientated progamming experience
- Familiar with Apache, MySQL, HTML and Linux
- Javascript (jQuery, YUI or similar)
- Good communication and team working skills
Desirables
- Familiar with Virtual Learning Environments / VLE (especially Moodle)
- Significant experience two years + with PHP development

Qualifications & Experience:
Appropriate degree, with further training or qualifications in the creation of online training materials. Must have commercial experience (corporate and/or SME market) in developing training for classroom, web and blended delivery.
Key Goals:
- Create instructionally sound learning frameworks and methodologies that make full and creative use of multimedia technologies
- Guide, educate and support consultants and trainers on online delivery best practice
- Develop instructional solutions that solve business problems using blended learning delivery
Duties:
- Provide appropriate learning methodologies in synchronous and asynchronous training
- Recommend appropriate instructional methods, based on client needs or industry needs and the appropriate application of evolving internet technologies / formats
- Create storyboard-based templates for trainers / multimedia developers
- Review and monitor for quality and consistency all online and offline course materials including appropriate multimedia components

Other Requirements:
Based in our Dundalk office, with some attendance at meetings with clients or at training locations. A full driving license and own transport is required. Working hours are 9.00 - 5.30pm (5pm Fridays) with occasional requirement to work outside standard hours as the business demands.
Salary: Commensurate with experience
